Duchess Meghan turns 43 on August 4. How she's celebrating? According to "People" magazine, the wife of Prince Harry (39) is expected to spend her birthday on Sunday in the private company of her family - just like in previous years.

New TV interview on Meghan's 43rd birthday

However, her Sunday in her Montecito, California villa may not be entirely quiet. Meghan's birthday coincides with the broadcast of her new joint TV interview with Harry on CBS. In a preview clip released by the network on August 1, Meghan spoke about her desire to protect her two children, Archie (5) and Lilibet (3), from harmful online content.

"Our children are young - they're three and five. They're incredible. But as parents, you just want to protect them," she said to host Jane Pauley (73). Looking at the world of social media, "we know there's still a lot of work to be done." She and Harry are happy to be "part of driving change for the better."

The goals of their Archewell Foundation

Creating a better and healthier online world is one of the goals of their Archewell Foundation, which Harry and Meghan launched in 2020 after stepping back from their senior royal roles in the UK. The CBS interview will reportedly focus on an initiative of their foundation.

Under the "Supporting Parents" section on the Archewell website, it states that they have created "the first support network of its kind for parents" whose children or families have been affected by online harm, such as on social media. The program aims to support parents who have lost children or whose daughters and sons are struggling with mental health issues.

The goal is to build a connected global community that supports each other and aims to create a safer online world. It is "a space for parents to come together, heal, and contribute to ensuring that no family around the world suffers loss or harm in the future by sharing their stories."

Additionally, creating a safer online world is one of the goals of the Archewell Foundation, launched by Harry and Meghan, which offers support to parents whose children or families have been affected by online harm.
