Taylor Swift and more - These megastars are coming to Germany
US-popstar Taylor Swift (34) is exciting Europe currently with her "The Eras Tour". German fans no longer have to wait: The singer will perform here starting from July 17th for seven concerts on stage. Several other top stars have also announced shows in Germany for the summer.
Pink
Due to the overwhelming demand of her fans, Pink (44) is returning to Germany with her "Summer Carnival" tour 2024. After a performance in Brussels on July 14th, she will be on stage in Leipzig on July 17th. On July 19th, there will be a show in the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart, followed by a performance at the Borussia-Park in Moenchengladbach on July 21st.
Fans in Germany can look forward to shows that promise a colorful show with acrobatics and many dancers. Pink had to cancel an appearance in Bern due to health reasons, but was able to perform in Copenhagen a few days later.
Taylor Swift
The "The Eras Tour" by Taylor Swift is a "Journey through the musical phases" of her career, so fans can expect to hear songs from all of Swift's studio albums. Swift will perform at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen on July 17th, 18th, and 19th. There will be two shows in Hamburg (Volksparkstadion) on July 23rd and 24th followed by performances at the Munich Olympiastadion on July 27th and 28th. The US alternative-rock band Paramore will be the opening act.
Swift's sold-out tour started on March 17th, 2023 in Arizona. According to media reports, it is the highest-grossing tour of all time. The concert film "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" was also the highest-grossing concert film to date. The last planned show - the 152nd of the tour - is on December 8th in Vancouver.
Travis Scott
US-rapper Travis Scott (33) will also treat his German fans to tour stops. After a performance at the Barclays Arena on July 16th, the rapper will perform in Cologne on July 20th at the RheinEnergieStadion. There will be performances in Frankfurt on July 26th and 27th.
The shows are part of the "Utopia - Circus Maximus Tour". Travis Scott released his fourth studio album "Utopia" in July 2023 and went on tour in North America the same year. The work achieved gold status in Germany, and Scott set a record for the most streamed English-language act in a week.
Coldplay
Three years after the release of their album "Music Of The Spheres" in 2021, the British pop-rock band Coldplay featuring singer Chris Martin (47) will release their new work "Moon Music" on October 4th. The single "feelslikeimfallinginlove" gives a sneak peek and will certainly be heard during the "Music of the Spheres Tour".
With the tour for their most recent album, they delighted fans in the summer of 2023. In the summer of 2024, they will go on tour in Europe and Germany again. The band will play three shows in Duesseldorf (July 20th, 21st, and 23rd, Merkur Spiel-Arena) and Munich (August 15th, 17th, and 18th, Olympiastadion).
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake (43) made a comeback in March with his new album after a six-year break and the last album "Man of the Woods" (2018). With his sixth studio album "Everything I Thought It Was", the former *NSYNC star started his tour in May in Vancouver, Canada.
Subsequently, it went to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or New York. In Europe, following performances in Krakow, there will be concerts in Berlin on July 30 and 31 at the Uber Arena. In Munich (21st and 22nd August), Cologne (25th and 26th August), and Hamburg (4th September), Timberlake will perform on stage.
Adele
The excitement was great among Adele fans when the announcement came that the British singer would come to Munich for a whole ten Open-Air concerts and play her only gigs in Europe in 2024. Adele plans ten shows between 2nd and 31st August on the fairgrounds in Munich's Bavarian capital (2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 14th, 16th, 23rd, 24th, 30th, and 31st August). A pop-up stadium with tribunes, seated and standing places is being built specifically for this, which can accommodate around 80,000 visitors. Approximately 800,000 spectators are expected in total.
In October and November, Adele, who released her latest album "30" in 2021, will return to Las Vegas for ten concerts before ending her successful "Weekends With Adele" series after 100 shows.
These German music stars are giving themselves the honor
German music stars are still to be seen on stage this summer. Roland Kaiser (72) is in the final stages of his "50 Years - 50 Hits" anniversary tour with stops approximately in Leipzig (19th July) or Frankfurt am Main (20th July). He then invites to the traditional "Kaisermania" series in Dresden on 26th and 27th July, as well as on 2nd and 3rd August.
The successful band around singer Hartmut Engler (62) is embarking on a large Open-Air tour. Performances are planned in Munich (20th July), Hamburg (27th and 28th July), or Berlin (6th September). The concert series is called "Personal - Under the open sky". Songs from the latest album "Personal" as well as hits from the 40-year band history will be presented.
The Berlin musician Peter Fox (52) is also on summer tour. He released his second solo album "Love Songs" in May 2023, 15 years after his debut album "Stadtaffe". He can be seen, among other places, three times in the Berlin Wuhlheide (26th, 27th, and 29th July), in Essen (31st August), Cologne (10th and 11th September), or Munich (17th September).
Mark Forster (41) is on Open-Air tour from 19th July to 18th August, as is Sarah Connor (44) with "A very special summer evening - My favorite Songs" (26th July to 26th August), or Pietro Lombardi from 21st July to 20th October. The Scorpions will ring in the autumn. For the rock band, one of the great musical export hits of Germany, the cities of Nürnberg (11th September), Hamburg (13th September), Leipzig (15th September), Cologne (18th September), and Frankfurt (20th September) are on the program for the "Love At First Sting" tour.
