The 2024 European Football Championship - The tunes honor the significant occasion.

Get ready for the Home Euro 2024, happening from June 14 to July 14! A bunch of musicians and bands are composing songs suitable for the event. Wondering which anthems you'll hear in your living room or during public viewings?

Leony

German singer Leony, age 26, teams up with the EDM trio Meduza and the US pop-rock band OneRepublic for the official UEFA Euro 2024 song, "Fire." Ryans Tedder, the lead singer of OneRepublic, created the track that he claims "expresses the passion and enthusiasm of football and music fans."

Enthusiastic, Leony announced, "When I was a kid, we always watched this tournament with the whole family. And football is a big passion for me. And with a home Euro and the chance to contribute to the official song, it's a dream come true for me!" You can catch her live performance at the closing ceremony of the Euro final on July 14 at Berlin Olympic Stadium.

Provinz

The German indie-pop band Provinz, who've grown up with football, plan to add their song "glaubst du" as the ZDF's official Euro song. The track blends nostalgia with optimism ("Spring on lanterns, we're in a fever. And with a bit of imagination, it's more than just a game. Childhood, soccer field, we had it all. Panini album sold out") and a cheerful chorus: "Do you believe in me? I believe in you. I want it to be forever. Do you believe in me? I believe in you. We've missed each other for a long time").

The band admitted, "We've been connected to football since we were kids. And with a home Euro and the opportunity to contribute to the official song, it's a dream come true for us!" They're set to perform at the Fan Fest Euro 2024 in Munich (June 12).

Tim Bendzko

Football enthusiast Tim Bendzko, 39, is responsible for the official MagentaTV Euro Song, "Komm schon." The motivational tune says, "Oh, come on! This is the moment. The moment you live for. It won't be easy. It won't be all your own. Come on! Overcome yourself, step out of your shadow into the light."

Talking about his Euro song, Bendzko said, "To be able to create an unforgettable football summer with my music [...] with the fans is an honor." Excited about the upcoming games and electric atmosphere, Bendzko will also perform at the Fan Fest Euro 2024 in Munich (June 12) with Ed Sheeran, Nelly Furtado, Dylan, and Mark Forster.

Mark Forster

The ARD has selected Mark Forster's song "Wenn Du Mich Rufst" as their Euro soundtrack. The football-loving artist expresses, "I'm always there for you when you call me. I'm holding on to you, even when it's tough. Even if it seems like the whole world is on fire. As long as we're together, everything will be fine." He considers it vital that the song elicits positive, beautiful emotions and sees the soundtrack as the summer's anthem to bring everyone together. "These four weeks of the Euro could provide us with strength and confidence."

The touching brass band ending of the song is also special to Forster for a home Euro. "I thought it was important to have a German touch. We have many brass bands in Germany, and that sound is associated with our country."

The official EM goal anthem has long been decided for Peter Schilling's (68) classic "Major Tom," originally released in 1982. Schilling expressed surprise about the recent resurgence of his song on social media: "Back in the charts - 'Major Tom (completely disconnected)' as the soundtrack of the upcoming summer! Thank you all!" Uefa specified the goal anthem's process for the EM: one jingle must ring for all goals of all teams, part of the official EM song. Fortunately, the DFB has agreed to play "Major Tom" after the first goal against the Netherlands in an EM test.

"The Flippers' 'Wir sagen danke schön' was released way back in 2009. It made a comeback in 2022 on social media, thanks to some creative remixes. Malolepski and Knop teamed up to perform the hit at festivals like Rock am Ring in 2023. In this updated version, they sung: 'We say thanks. Today we're gonna party. If not for our gang and the dedicated fans, what would we be?'"
