Princess Sofia, age 39, and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, 45, are preparing to grow their family. The Palace made this known on September 2nd, confirming that the couple is expecting their fourth child.

Posting a charming picture of themselves on Instagram, Prince Carl Philip, son of King Carl XVI Gustaf, 78, and Queen Silvia, 80, along with his wife Sofia, shared this delightful news: "Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are thrilled to announce that Princess Sofia is carrying their fourth child." Sofia's health remains excellent, as indicated by her unaltered royal engagements scheduled for the coming autumn.

Will the new addition be a boy or a girl?

The arrival of their fourth child is slated for around four years following their third, with Sofia and Carl Philip having exchanged marriage vows in the summer of 2015. The estimated due date, as per the Palace, is in February 2025. The youngest Swede royal, Prince Julian of Sweden, aged 3, entered the world in March 2021. His older brothers, Prince Gabriel, 7, and Prince Alexander, 8, were born in 2017 and 2016, respectively.

The royal duo frequently shares adorable photos of their kids on Instagram, including memorable occasions such as their birthdays.

I'm not sharing the gender of our upcoming child just yet, as we want it to be a surprise.regardless, I'm not going to let the pregnancy slow me down, as I have several royal engagements planned for the fall.
