Rock performer blends genres - The singer from H-Blockx and the Doberman puppies
When H-Blockx released their first album titled "Time To Move" in 1994, it became a platinum success. However, these crossover rockers from Münster faced financial challenges during the production process. "The business was different back then," reminisces singer Henning Wehland. "We had only 10,000 DM for the album's production, the same amount as that of five young Doberman puppies with common sense."
Interestingly, although they had limited resources, the band sold several hundred thousand copies worldwide. On September 27th, they plan to bring out the popular album as a vinyl reissue, with the colors red and black. "We never thought about it, but this album broke boundaries and led to new paths," said Wehland, who previously was also a part of "Söhne Mannheims." This weekend, the band is scheduled to perform at renowned music festivals "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park."
