A conflict instigated by the Heritage Foundation over Prince Harry's (39) American visa issue has been settled, as announced by American news publication Newsweek. This controversy emerged due to Prince Harry's released autobiography, "Spare," published in 2023's beginning. In the book, Prince Harry, aged 39, confessed to his past drug usage. Consequently, the Heritage Foundation initiated a lawsuit to obtain Prince Harry's immigration documents, contending that his drug history might have prevented him from residing and working in the U.S.
However, according to court filings mentioned by Newsweek, the case has been recently dropped. Various confidential documents were submitted in this Washington D.C. court case presided by Judge Carl J. Nichols. The motive behind the dismissal remains undisclosed, as per Newsweek. If Prince Harry's immigration records remain undisclosed, it would likely benefit the royal family. Nonetheless, the Heritage Foundation still has the possibility to challenge the verdict.
Prince Harry relinquished his position as a prominent royal family member in early 2020, making his home in the U.S. together with his spouse Duchess Meghan (43). The Sussexes are currently residing in Montecito, California, with their children, Archie (5) and Lilibet (3). Upon relocating to the U.S., a representative for Prince Harry stated his intention to adhere to the same immigration laws as other individuals.
In "Spare," Prince Harry openly admitted to using drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and hallucinogenic mushrooms. As per U.S. regulations, drug use can constitute a grounds for refusal of entry.
The United States of America was at the center of a controversy surrounding Prince Harry's visa due to his revealed drug use in his book "Spare." Despite the possibility for the Heritage Foundation to challenge the decision, the court case related to Prince Harry's immigration records in the United States has been dropped.
