The German football national team started the Home European Championship with a convincing win. The team coached by Julian Nagelsmann won the opening match on June 14 in Munich against Scotland 5:1 (3:0).

In total, 51 games are scheduled: In the group stage, the 24 EM participating teams face each other. The Round of 16 begins on Saturday, June 29, and the final is scheduled for Sunday, July 14.

Besides the host country Germany, the following national teams qualified for the Round of 16: Denmark, Spain, Georgia, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Romania, Netherlands, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland, Italy, England, and Slovakia.

The Round of 16 begins with the match Switzerland against Italy (Kick-off on Saturday, June 29, 6 p.m.).
