The German football national team started the home European Championship with a convincing win. The team coached by Julian Nagelsmann won the opening match on June 14 in Munich against Scotland 5:1 (3:0).
In total, 51 games are scheduled: In the group stage, the 24 teams of the EM participants face each other. The round of 16 begins on Saturday, June 29, and the final is scheduled for Sunday, July 14.
Besides the host Germany, the national teams from Denmark, Spain, Georgia, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Romania, Netherlands, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland, Italy, England, and Slovakia qualified for the round of 16.
The round of 16 begins with the match Switzerland against Italy (Kick-off on Saturday, June 29, 6 p.m.). The next opponent of the DFB selection is Denmark, the game starts in the evening at 9 p.m. The following day, the decision will be made in the game Spain against Georgia, which team will face the winner of the first round of 16 game in the quarterfinals.
