The German football national team started the home European Championship with a convincing win. The team coached by Julian Nagelsmann won the opening match on 14th June in Munich against Scotland 5:1 (3:0).
A total of 51 games are scheduled: In the group stage, the 24 teams of the EM participants play against each other. The round of 16 begins on Saturday, 29th June, and the final is scheduled for Sunday, 14th July.
Besides the host Germany, the following national teams qualified for the round of 16: Denmark, Spain, Georgia, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Romania, Netherlands, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland, Italy, England, and Slovakia.
The round of 16 begins with the match Switzerland against Italy (Kick-off on Saturday, 29th June, 18:00 CET). The next opponent of the DFB selection is Denmark, the game starts on the evening of 30th June. The following day, the decision will be made in the match Spain against Georgia, which team will face the winner of the first round of 16 game in the quarterfinals.
