The German Football National Team started off impressively in the Home European Championship. The team coached by Julian Nagelsmann won the opening match on 14th June in Munich against Scotland with a convincing 5:1 (3:0).
A total of 51 games are scheduled for the tournament: In the group stage, the 24 EM participants played against each other in six groups. The Round of 16 began on Saturday, 29th June, and the final is on Sunday, 14th July.
Besides the host country Germany, the following national teams qualified for the Round of 16: Denmark, Spain, Georgia, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Romania, Netherlands, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland, Italy, England, and Slovakia.
The Round of 16 began with the match Switzerland vs Italy on Saturday, 29th June. The next opponent for the DFB selection was Denmark with a kick-off at 9 pm. The following day, Spain defeated Georgia. In the semifinals, Spain and France, as well as the Netherlands and England, faced off against each other.
