The German streaming series "Maxton Hall - Between Us" has become Prime Video's most successful non-American production to date. Amazon's offshoot revealed this news in Berlin on Tuesday, stating it's now the "most streamed international original series worldwide on Prime Video ever." The platform didn't share exact figures.

The series, released on May 9th, quickly set a new record with the highest global viewer numbers for a non-American title in Prime Video's history within its first week. It held the top spot in Prime Video's charts in over 120 countries at that time. A second season has already been confirmed.

In season 1 of the coming-of-age drama "Maxton Hall," based on a fictional British boarding school, the story focuses on the contrasting worlds of the dislikable James Beaufort (Damian Hardung) and Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten), who is smart, ambitious, and down-to-earth.
