Fans of the Netflix hit "Bridgerton" had to endure a long wait of two years for the third season, and when it finally arrived, it was split into two parts. The first four episodes debuted in May, with the last four only premiering on June 13th. According to a new trailer, the seasons start immediately after the nail-biter ending of the fourth episode. Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) is now engaged to Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), but they face a major obstacle: Colin is unaware of Penelope's secret life as the gossip columnist Lady Whistledown. Penelope's sister Eloise (Claudia Jesse) is aware of this and threatens to reveal it if Penelope doesn't.

Penelope finds herself in a difficult situation

Penelope is in a difficult spot, as she loves Colin but doesn't want to give up her role as Lady Whistledown, wherein she spreads gossip about him. She even continues to do so. In one scene, Colin appears to be thinking suspiciously as Eloise mentions: "May we truly know each other. Perfect!" It's unclear whether the season will lead to a happy ending or not, but judging by the conflict shown in the trailer, it will be an intense journey.

Despite the record-breaking 45 million streams in its first week, "Bridgerton" remains a prosperous project for Netflix.
