For their fans, The Killers apparently do a lot. In London, the US-rockers even paused their concert for England's EM-game.

For England's EM-Jubilee - The Killers interrupt their concert extra

Beyond Europe as well, the EM fever continues. The American rockers The Killers interrupted their concert at the London O2-Arena on Wednesday evening (10th July) to allow fans to watch the exciting half-final match between England and the Netherlands.

Confetti and "Sweet Caroline" for the fans

The brief interruption proved worthwhile. In the 91st minute, Ollie Watkins (28) scored the winning goal for England, securing their entry into the final with a 2:1. The American musicians Brandon Flowers (43), Dave Keuning (48), Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (48), and Mark Stoermer (47), who are currently on their "Rebel Diamonds" tour, played the Neil-Diamond song "Sweet Caroline" in celebration, fired off the confetti cannons for the goal, and partied with their fans, who sang along loudly, applauded, and cheered - a goosebumps moment!

The Killers: "Tonight we played for England"

A DailyMail reporter reports on the spectacle - including video material. But The Killers, who are best known for their megahit "Mr. Brightside," shared some photos of their unique concert setup on Instagram. "Tonight we played for England," they wrote.

The English team plays against Spain on the coming Sunday, 14th July, at 9 PM for the EM title.

  4. Following the remarkable 2-1 victory of England over the Netherlands in the EURO semi-finals, The Killers joined the jubilant fans at the O2 Arena to celebrate with confetti and music.
  5. As England prepared to face Spain in the EURO final, The Killers expressed their support for the team by sharing photos of their special EUROs concert setup on Instagram, captioning it with "Tonight we played for England".
