Tenth Eberhofer film "Steckerlfischfiasko" - The first flap falls in fall 2025
The Bangen has come to an end, the waiting is over: The youngest and allegedly last Eberhofer crime novel "Steckerlfischfiasko" (2023) by author Rita Falk (60) will be filmed. According to Constantin Film, the first shooting for the new installment of the popular series is scheduled for "Fall 2025".
Constantin Film and the bestselling author have agreed that their current Eberhofer crime novel 'Steckerlfischfiasko' will be filmed together again, as stated in the press release.
After the cinematic release of the most recent installment "Rehragout-Rendezvous" in summer 2023, there were disagreements. In an interview with the "Spiegel", Falk described the filming as "unbelievably flat, trashy, even ordinary at times". However, the author herself is quoted in the casting announcement: "There's probably no one more excited about the new film 'Steckerlfischfiasko' than I am myself. Or as Franz might say: watch me, then savor it...!", so Falk.
Tenth crime comedy from Niederkaltenkirchen with regular cast
Actor Sebastian Bezzel (53) will once again slip into the role of the "Bavarian Bond", police officer Franz Eberhofer. His Austrian colleague Simon Schwarz (53) will be seen again as the legendary private detective Rudi Birkenberger. And the production confirms that "the Dreamteam in front of and behind the camera is united once again".
To the popular regular cast belong, in addition to the two already mentioned: Lisa Maria Potthoff (Susi), Gerhard Wittmann (Brother Leopold), Eisi Gulp (Father), and Enzi Fuchs (Grandmother) as well as the regulars at the tavern Daniel Christensen (Heating Installer Flötzinger), Stephan Zinner (Butcher Simmerl), and Max Schmidt (Innkeeper Wolfi). Ferdinand Hofer (Assistant Policeman Max), Thomas Kügel (Mayor), and Sigi Zimmerschied (Eberhofer's superior Moratschek) are also not missing. Regie is being led by Ed Herzog (58, "Viktor brings it"), who will also write the script together with Stefan Betz (54, Nockherberg-Singspiel).
However, fans of the Eberhofer series must still be quite patient, as Constantin Film announces a "cinematic release in summer 2026". The first film of the series, "Dampfnudelblues", started in cinemas in 2012.

The local king of Steckerlfisch is found dead in the wellness landscape of the new golf club. The Dreamteam Franz Eberhofer and Rudi Birkenberger investigates under "dubious folk festival clans and golfing Schickimicki aristocrats". Constantin Film has announced that the filming of "Steckerlfischfiasko" will start in fall 2025, marking the return of the Plug fish fiasco series. Despite previous disagreements, author Rita Falk is excited about the forthcoming film, admitting that she can't wait to witness its start of shooting.
