Resuming the story
The second season of this hit series is based on the next book in Mona Kasten's beloved series, titled "Save You," and follows the tumultuous love story of Ruby Bell and James Beaufort. After a tragic event, James and his family's lives undergo significant changes, affecting Ruby deeply.
Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung are reprising their roles as Ruby Bell and James Beaufort, respectively. Supporting cast members Sonja Weißer, Ben Felipe, Fedja van Hütt, and Runa Greiner will be rejoining the series as well. Season one, a book adaptation, premiered on Prime Video on May 9 and was a resounding success with audiences worldwide. According to the production company, "Maxton Hall" marked the highest global viewership for a non-American original title during its premiere week. The series attained the top spot in Prime Video charts in more than 120 countries or territories, with a third place finish in over 50 others.
Should the success continue into its second season, a third season featuring the novel "Save Us"—the third book in the series—could be in the future. The first season corresponds to "Save Me."
