Olympic Games 2024 - The experts and moderators on TV

From July 26 to August 11, the Olympic Games 2024 will take place in and around Paris. All 329 events will also be viewable in Germany on TV or stream. Once again, numerous experts and experts will join the moderators, such as Boris Becker (56), Felix Neureuther (40), and Fabian Hambüchen (36), as they did during the Football European Championship 2024.

Olympics on public-service television and in media libraries

According to a statement, ARD and ZDF plan to broadcast approximately 240 hours live on linear TV. In addition, there will reportedly be about 1,500 hours of livestreams in the corresponding media libraries. The day before the official Olympic opening ceremony, ZDF will begin at 18:45 pm on July 25 with "sportstudio live - Olympics". Katrin Müller-Hohenstein (58) will then report live from Paris for the first women's football match between Germany and Australia. Men's football and rugby will also be available online on ZDF-Mediathek and sportstudio.de on July 24.

During the eight Olympic days that ZDF covers, the broadcasts will begin at approximately 7:30 am. Müller-Hohenstein will appear in rotation with Jochen Breyer (41) from the Olympic studio of the broadcaster. All finals of the competitions, international highlights, and all disciplines with German participation will be available online. The expert team of the broadcaster includes, among others, former triathlete Jan Frodeno (42), former cyclist Kristina Vogel (33), former tennis player Andrea Petković (36), and former diver Tina Punzel (28).

The ARD also offers an extensive program and will broadcast approximately 130 hours live on TV. Before the daily news, "Sportschau vor acht - Olympic Quiz" with moderator Esther Sedlaczek (38) will be added to the First channel. The opening ceremony will also be shown live on July 26 with Sedlaczek and Alexander Bommes (48) as moderators. Tom Bartels (58) and Friederike Hofmann (42) will comment on the events in the TV. Lea Wagner (29) will welcome athletes at the German House for interviews, Neureuther will appear with the format "Felix Neureuther - Slalom through Paris" and as a guest in the Olympic studio.

Complete coverage by Eurosport and Discovery+

Warner Bros. Discovery has secured the broadcasting rights and, according to their own statements, will present live sports from France in 47 markets - in Germany via Eurosport and online via the streaming service Discovery+. Eurosport 1 will reportedly report live from every one of the 19 competition days and will become the "24/7 Olympics channel". The entire games will therefore also be available via Discovery+.

Eurosport will have nearly 30 former athletes commentating during the games, including tennis legend Becker and former handball player Pascal Hens (44). Eurosport's coverage will begin at 7:00 am with the format "Bonjour Paris" with Birgit Nössing (41). In addition, there will be two evening shows at 18:30 pm and against 22:30 pm under the title "Bonsoir Paris". Thomas Wagner (52) will moderate these shows, and Fabian Hambüchen (36) will report from the German House. Sigi Heinrich (71) will also cover the opening ceremony.
