Team representing the country - The European Championship may commence without Pavlovic due to his ongoing illness.
The head coach of the national team, Julian Nagelsmann, will have to carry on without Aleksandar Pavlovic in the readiness for the initial match against Scotland at the European Championship. At 20 years old, Pavlovic is a midfielder who could not attend the national team's training session in Herzogenaurach because of an infection, which makes it improbable for him to participate in the opener against Scotland. Even Sky reported his absence in the Scotland game on Tuesday.
Pavlovic, a Bayern Munich player, had previously had to forgo being part of the DFB's debut in March owing to a mandibular inflammation. Conversing at the national team's media day, Pavlovic hinted at the potential for a mandibular operation following the EM due to his persistent infections.
All 22 field players and three goalkeepers were present at the training session, with the exception of Pavlovic. Following a warm-up program in the fitness tent, Toni Kroos and his teammates focused on passing combinations. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer practiced with Marc-André ter Stegen and Oliver Baumann on a separate field.
The squad will conduct two more training sessions before the game on Friday night (9 pm, ZDF/Magenta TV). Following the final practice session, the team will travel to Munich.
