In the recent episode of "I'm a Celebrity - Jungle Legends Showdown" (most recent episode on RTL+, with a repeat on RTL the following day), the semifinal featured a rollercoaster of jungle chaos. The remaining six campers, Georgina Fleur (34), Gigi Birofio (25), Mola Adebisi (51), Kader Loth (51), Sarah Knappik (37) and Danni Büchner (46), endured the challenges of the jungle existence, not just physically but also mentally, as confessions and tests were part of the agenda. Not all of them made it to the final round.

Mindful Regret

Georgina struggled with lingering thoughts on one of the final days in the jungle. In a heart-to-heart with Sarah, she reflected on the backlash she received after sharing a photo of herself with a chained lion at a party in Dubai on social media. Georgina claimed the private zoo, where she believed abused animals from poor conditions were housed, only kept the animals chained during visitors' presence. "I thought they had fantastic enclosures," she remembered her initial impression. "I didn't know they were chained. I'm no animal abuser, I love animals. It was never intentional."

She was puzzled by the violent response. "I don't know why I got this shitstorm." The deluge of death threats and hateful comments terrified her. "My friends were insulted. People were just too extreme." She acknowledged her flawed nature. "People make mistakes. I've learned from it, I won't go back there."

Tropical Frustration and Bee Sting

The jungle's confined space had begun to wear on the campmates. Even when they miscalculated and thought the finale was due, another unexpected night in the jungle exacerbated their frustration. "We're all at the end of our tether, it's really horrible," Mola summarized. "There are too many people for the finale," Kader observed. "Everyone's thinking of how to destroy one another." Sarah expressed her doubts about her position in the camp. "I think she's not honest with me, she'd vote me out 100 percent," she said of Danni. "She has no fighting spirit," Danni retorted regarding Sarah. Despite her fears, Danni still hoped for a triumphant ending. "I want to make it this time," she declared tearfully into the jungle phone. "I want to show that Danni is finally brave enough." Sarah, driven to distraction by talking to a sock turned into a snake, annoyed her fellow campers with her forced cheerfulness.

During a laundry routine, she cried out: "I'm done for. Something really painful just stung me, and it hurts like hell. I don't know if I'm allergic." Sarah was convinced she had been stung by a scorpion. Her fellow campers were less convinced. A paramedic inspecting her pants finally gave the all-clear: It was just a bee. "We're in Africa, that hurts a lot more than a garden bee," Sarah explained to Kader and Danni. "They're ten times worse than ours." "It's always something," Danni grumbled. "Your colleague has zero stars now; she's got bonus privileges during the night watch just because Bee Maya stung you? It doesn't affect us," Gigi remarked bluntly, and Sarah immediately picked up on her "disrespectful" behavior.

Boredom set in at the camp, leading Kader to play a harmless prank. "I feel so weak. I used up all my reserves during yesterday's challenge," she initially explained. "I feel a bit nauseous and dizzy." Then she collapsed right in the middle of the camp, and Sarah supported her by propping up her legs to improve circulation. Kader couldn't help but laugh aloud: "I just wanted to annoy them a bit."

The campmates' inability to spark new conversations was underlined by Gigi's flirtatious approach to Kader Loth. "She has a great rear, a great figure. I would seduce her if I could." Kader: "Sexual attraction? Are you crazy? I could be your mother," the 51-year-old said, arm in arm with Gigi. She also had disciplinary measures in mind, especially "no more farting." The topic of romance remained in the group as they gathered around the campfire. Mola and Gigi discussed sexually provocative outfits on partners who didn't belong to them. "For me, that was almost a boundary crossing. Such outdated ideas are bullshit," Sarah scoffed about the outdated views on traditional gender roles and men as women's protectors. "If someone tells me I can't do something, that's it. No one can tell me what to do," Georgina echoed, who also found Mola's views "questionable."

The Survival Formula

So, how could each camper ensure their spot in the final now? There were two routes: "courage" and "tactics." Sarah, Kader, and Mola formed the "tactics" group and opted out of a challenge, while the "courage" group had to fight bitterly for a slot in the final and were rewarded with a golden ticket for the test winner. Mola's decision to take the "tactics" route surprised some of her campmates. "Mola's kinda a coward," Gigi mused. "I don't think anyone here is stronger than me. But I don't know the test," Mola clarified. "He's not a jungle legend, he hasn't done enough," Sarah said.

"Wisdom stirs up Aaaaaa," served up as a test of both body and intellect, called out to the fearless. Balancing precariously on a single plank, this courageous threesome faced off, answering trivia questions from lofty heights. A slip in answers meant a swift plummet towards the floor. But a correct answer could send foes plunging instead. Gigi emerged victorious, displaying a flawless blend of balance and intellect. "I yearned to prove my change from the past, and that mattered greatly to me," Danni, the one who had to part ways, confessed about her jungle return that mirrored her earlier days.

Based on the foretaste, a significant choice lies ahead for the All-stars before they reach the final stage. Given that there are too many campers, the pivotal question for the All-stars is "Which contender doesn't deserve to make it to the final?" Additionally, prior to the grand finale, a food challenge awaits: Who amongst them will get the privilege to wear the prestigious golden crown?

In the heart-to-heart conversation, Georgina expressed her regret to Sarah about the backlash she received after sharing a photo with a chained lion, stating, "I'm no animal abuser, I love animals. It was never intentional."
