Her younger sister, Princess Eleonore (16), opted for a red-white bloomed Silk dress, while her brothers Prince Emmanuel (18) and Prince Gabriel (20) appeared in elegant suits. Queen Mathilde showed up in an ivory-colored, buttoned dress with a wide skirt. She paired it with a light hat. King Philippe donned a uniform for the National Holiday.
Elisabeth Heads to the USA to Continue Studying
Princess Elisabeth recently completed her studies in History and Politics at Oxford. Her next goal is to attend Harvard, as reported by "The Brussels Times" a few weeks ago. Her studies in the USA are said to begin this summer. "She has recently passed the admission tests," the palace was quoted by the newspaper. Crown Princess Elisabeth is reportedly going to study at the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
She is not the only member of the Belgian royal family to have moved to the United States for studies: Her father, King Philippe, studied Political Sciences in Stanford in the 1980s. He had previously attended the University of Oxford in England.
