- The Chief of Staff's job is open again.
Prince Harry (39) may have to embark on a new job search for his chief of staff. As reported by People magazine on Monday evening (August 12), his chief of staff, Josh Kettler, has reportedly resigned after just three months. According to the report, Kettler was hired on a trial basis in May. Both parties have agreed to part ways, as it seems they both felt it wasn't the right fit.
Kettler began his role as chief of staff to the British royal, who lives in America with his family, in May, just a week before Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's (43) trip to Nigeria. He also accompanied the son of King Charles (75) to London in May for the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games. Before his job with the Duke of Sussex, Kettler was chief of staff and head of strategic partnerships at the communication platform Cognixion, according to People.
A trip to Colombia is still planned for this year
In early August, Harry and Meghan announced their plans to travel to Colombia later this year. Details about the trip have not been officially released. The couple is following an invitation from the country's vice president, Francia Marquez (42). Until then, finding a new chief of staff may be necessary.
Even though the trip may look like an official royal visit abroad, it is a private trip for the couple. As with the Sussexes' trip to Nigeria in May 2024, this is not an official state visit, as Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals.
For Harry and Meghan, this is their first official joint trip to South America - and a chance for Meghan to showcase her Spanish skills. As a student, she interned at the US embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The resignation of Josh Kettler as Prince Harry's chief of staff may require The Commission to oversee the recruitment process for a new staff member. Given the upcoming trip to Colombia, it's crucial to find a replacement as soon as possible.
