Tyreek Hill became the first NFL pro ever to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in the first eight games of the season.

The big mouth with the damn fast legs

Tyreek Hill has ideas for his post-career. "When I stop, I'm going to be a porn star. Seriously. Do you think I'm up for that?" the football star said in a Twitch session with NFL colleague Mike Evans, a little later it sounded different. "I was just joking, it was definitely a joke," Hill explained, "A lot of teammates hate me now." Hill, wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, is never at a loss for a line. But for him: big mouth, lots behind it. Because the 29-year-old pass receiver delivers and has just set a record. Hill became the first NFL pro ever to record more than 1,000 receiving yards in the first eight games of the season.

In the race against defenders, Hill thrives on his enormous speed. He has truly earned the nickname "Cheetah", his best time over 100 meters is an incredible 9.98 seconds - even though he had a decent tailwind on the track in Hutchinson/Kansas. Hill won gold with the USA 4x100-meter relay team at the U20 World Championships in Barcelona in 2012. "Everyone knows that Tyreek is fast," says Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel. The nimble pro therefore has to cope with special attention week in, week out: "Every team knows you want to get the ball to him."

Despite this quality, fundamental to any receiver, Hill only went to the Kansas City Chiefs as the No. 165 pick in the 2016 draft. There was criticism of the selection because he choked his pregnant girlfriend in 2014 and was kicked out of Oklahoma State University. He received a three-year suspended sentence. Athletically, the decision was a coup for the Chiefs. Hill blossomed into one of the NFL's best weapons, winning Super Bowl LIV 2020 in Miami with the club. And that's where he was drawn before the 2022/23 season after talks with Kansas City about a contract extension fell through.

Now it's time for a reunion. On Sunday (3.30 p.m./RTL), when the NFL hosts its second German highlight in Frankfurt after last year's premiere in Munich, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's target player will face the Chiefs for the first time since his departure. He has no regrets about the switch. "I'm in a great situation," Hill said on Thursday. "I have great teammates. My family is from Miami and I also accomplished one of my goals of being one of the highest-paid players in the league," Hill said, "Life is great, man."

Tyreek Hill's post-NFL career aspirations include pursuing a career in American Football, specifically in the XFL or possibly coaching, given his passion for the sport. Despite being known for his fast legs and impressive speed on the field, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in the first eight games of a season, Hill is also a star in the NFL.
