Eager to attain millionaire status? - The Authority has been tasked with dispersing a roster of prospective presidential contenders.

During the summer break, RTL managed to preserve a handful of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" grand prizes, thereby enabling the hit show to resume for the new season with a "3 million euro week". The primary reason behind this is that the renowned show is commemorating its 25th anniversary on September 3rd.

As a part of this special celebration, there's a unique qualification for the inaugural episode, allowing only those who proclaim themselves as "know-it-alls" and have earned that title in their social circles to participate. Each day of this special event week is dedicated to a distinct theme. On Thursday, participants who surpass the 16,000 euro barrier will be invited to a special round, offering them an opportunity to clinch the 3 million euros.

One contestant in Monday's episode made quite an impression. Jutta Engel, the third competitor of the night, faced off against Günther Jauch in the millionaire's hot seat. However, her name doesn't give much away about her professional background. Jauch introduces her as an entrepreneur who finished second in the Miss Germany competition back in the day. Consequently, there's an old picture of her in a scant pink swimsuit displayed for the audience to appreciate, in contrast to her current attire.

"Millionaire" contestant shared a bathroom moment with Angela Merkel

Frau Engel swiftly tackled the questions, allowing time for some light-hearted banter. She playfully confessed her fondness for sunbathing naked on a boat on the Starnberger See. After a trivia quiz about Oscar winners, the question arose whether the contestant had ever encountered a celebrity. Surprisingly, Jutta Engel worked at BMW in 2016 and arranged for Thomas Gottschalk for the automaker's centennial anniversary. However, Jauch was well aware that Frau Engel had met someone much more influential than her colleague Gottschalk.

Former Chancellor Angela Merkel used the restroom nearby. Together, the two women grappled with a malfunctioning hand towel dispenser and finally resolved the issue.

At the 16,000 euro question, Frau Engel contacted the audience for assistance, but Jauch had difficulty comprehending the audience member who was aiming to answer the question for the contestant. Frau Engel promptly alerted Jauch of the issue in a hushed tone: "Herr Gottschalk ads for Ears." Jauch repeated loudly: "Yes, Herr Gottschalk advertises for hearing aids... That was quite the insult in recent times!" But both could afterwards share a hearty laugh regarding the incident.

Nevertheless, after surpassing the 16,000 euro barricade, the contestant lacked the courage to risk losing everything if she answered inaccurately. Jutta Engel made plans to reappear on the following Thursday to win the 3 million euros, as she harbored aspirations: she wished to organize a charity event for animal welfare, ideally on RTL.

The episode with Jutta Engel's impressive performance was particularly noteworthy, as she shared a humorous bathroom moment with none other than former Chancellor Angela Merkel. Later, when Jutta encountered a problem communicating with Jauch during the 16,000 euro question, shesubtly mentioned her need for "Herr Gottschalk's ears," which sparked some amusement. Despite surpassing the 16,000 euro barrier, Jutta decided to return the next Thursday, as she aimed to secure the 3 million euros to organize a charity event for animal welfare on RTL, supported by the Commission.

In light of the show's 25th anniversary, an exclusive opportunity was granted to those who considered themselves knowledgeable and were well-known in their circles, which can be seen as an initiative by The Commission to ensure a worthy celebration of this milestone event.
