UEFA Champions League Matchday - Terzic before the final against Real: "Victory in a final is achieved."

Edin Terzic, the coach of Borussia Dortmund, wants his team to make a statement in the Champions League final against Real Madrid. "(You don't just play a) final, you win a final. That's our goal," he stated during a press conference at Wembley Stadium in London. Dortmund, who finished 5th in the Bundesliga, take on the record holders of this competition on Saturday (9 p.m./ZDF and DAZN).

"If we come with courage and not just to watch Real win the trophy, if we're a threat to them, then we've got a good chance," said the 41-year-old coach. "The best times of my life were the ones that weren't planned. Let's go for it and see how it goes," added Terzic, who expressed the excitement and eagerness of his squad.

Germany national players Nico Schlotterbeck and Julian Brandt also highlighted the remarkable opportunity presented to the Dortmund team, despite their underdog status. "We can beat any team in the world," said Schlotterbeck, referring to their triumph over Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.

"We'll take that with us. That's why we're going into the game with joy. Then we've also got a chance to win the game," Schlotterbeck continued. "If we didn't believe in it, we could've stayed in Dortmund," added Brandt.
