Swedish rapper C. Gambino murdered.
Last year, Sweden declared C. Gambino as their Hip-Hop artist of the year. Currently, this 26-year-old artist was gunned down in Gothenburg. It seems like he moved away from the illegal activities. However, the police are asserting that Gambino's passing is associated with organized crime.
A famous Swedish rapper met his end in a gang conflict in Gothenburg. A car park in Hisingen, Gothenburg is where the shooting occurred. C. Gambino, or his civilian name Karar Ali Salem Ramadan, was named Sweden's Hip-Hop artist of the year in May.
Pictures from the scene implied multiple bullet holes in a car park door. The victim was taken to a medical facility, leading to his demise due to his injuries. The police spokesperson has stated that the murder is linked to a gang conflict, and Gambino was familiar to the police. Investigations on the murder have started, but no arrests have taken place yet.
Only recently, C. Gambino dropped his latest track titled "Sista Gang" ("Last Time") in May. This rapper had more than a million plays a month on Spotify, as per reports. Petter Hallen, a renowned Swedish rap expert, said, "He was one of the greats in Swedish hip-hop," adding that this tragedy has hurt the Gothenburg and the entire Swedish rap scene significantly. It's particularly unfortunate for the cops to apprehend a well-known rapper who recently swerved away from criminal activities and spent more time expressing emotions.
Another popular Swedish rapper, Einer, was killed in a shooting in October 2021, and the crime had links to organized crime. Sweden has been battling organized crime for many years enduring constant violence involving control of the drug and weapons trades. Often, such disputes end in shootings and explosions.
