Enjoying a festive vibe in Stockholm - Swedish monarchy marks national day.

Each and every year, Sweden marks its National Day on the 6th of June. And like every year, the Swedish royal family also took part in the celebrations with a grand program and numerous guests. The youngest members of the royal family were given the spotlight during the festivities.

Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar make an appearance

The two shiners Estelle (12) and Oscar (8) had quite a major role the day before as they helped soldiers of the Life Guard raise the national flag. In a video shared by the Royal Court on Instagram, it is seen that Estelle and Oscar learnt the correct folding of the Swedish national emblem from Sergeant Major Johannes Öhneskog. It seems like they had loads of fun during their first official "flag training."

The Royal Court also started the National Day with an Instagram post showcasing the twins in traditional Swedish attire and a smart suit in a garden, accompanied by the message, "A happy National Day!"

Royal elders displaying family camaraderie

Apart from the youthful members of the Swedish Royals, the elder members also had a busy schedule. In Stockholm's Folkets Park, Crown Princess Victoria (46) kick-started the general celebrations in the presence of Crown Prince Daniel (50) by giving a speech to a massive crowd, as per "Svensk Damtidning". Prince Carl Philip (45) handled the changing of the guard at noon at the Royal Palace. Meanwhile, Queen Silvia (80) and King Carl Gustaf (78) displayed the close bond between people at an event in the province of Norrbotten.

Evening events include an official reception and a parade

An official party at Skansen Open-Air Museum with a live concert on Swedish television was a part of the evening program. Finally, the official part of the National Day concluded with a parade in the garden of the Royal Palace with invitees from the Swedish government and diplomatic corps waiting for King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
