In the statement, it was disclosed: "Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia joyfully share that Princess Sofia is carrying their fourth child." Sofia's well-being is reported to be excellent. This is further reinforced by the fact that there are no reported schedule modifications for the 39-year-old princess for the approaching autumn season.

Their forthcoming child is projected to make its entry around four years after their third child, who made its debut in the summer of 2015.
