Struff advances to the third round of the French Open with ease.

Jan-Lennard Struff emerges victorious against Alexandr Bublik in the French Open, securing his spot in the third round while conserving energy. Alongside him, tournament favorite Alexander Zverev also advanced to the third round.

Following Zverev, Struff made it to the third round of the French Open in Paris as he defeated Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan unexpectedly with a convincing score of 6:2, 6:2, 6:3 on Thursday evening. The Warsteiner remains in the tournament without dropping a set.

The German tennis player will face Australian eleventh seed Alex De Minaur in his next game. Earlier, Zverev had already secured his third-round ticket with a straightforward three-set victory against Belgian David Goffin. The Hamburg native will face the 26th seeded Dutchman, Tallon Griekspoor, in his next match. "I'm really pleased with my performance today; I hope I can maintain this form," boasted Zverev.

Meanwhile, Maximilian Marterer from Nuremberg was eliminated by Belgian qualifier Zizou Bergs (6:3, 3:6, 1:6, 3:6), while Grand Slam newcomer Henri Squire (Duisburg) lost to Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime (4:6, 6:4, 3:6, 2:6) in the second round of the tournament.

Zverev and Struff's next round matches are anticipated on Saturday. On Friday, the matches are scheduled to start earlier than usual at 10:00 am due to a multitude of rain interruptions and delays on the uncovered side courts. The Covered Court Philippe Chatrier will host a high-tension showdown between Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner from Italy and Russian Pavel Kotov in the morning. The third-ranked Carlos Alcaraz from Spain is tipped to win against US player Sebastian Korda in the evening.
