Tobogganing - Strong series: luger Langenhan wins again
World Championship runner-up Max Langenhan has also won the second World Cup race of the season. The 24-year-old sports soldier came out on top in Whistler, Canada.
Just like a week ago in Lake Placid, Langenhan won the single-seater competition ahead of World Champion Jonas Müller from Austria - this time with a lead of 0.255 seconds. Kristers Aparjods from Latvia came third in the dress rehearsal for the 2025 Luge World Championships. It was Langenhan's ninth win in a row this season. At the World Cup opener in Lake Placid, Langenhan had also won the sprint competition in addition to the single-seater event. Three-time Olympic champion Felix Loch finished the race in Canada in 26th place. David Nössler finished in 14th place.

Max Langenhan, having recently secured victory in the single-seater competition at Lake Placid during the World Cup, managed to repeat his success in tobboganing, clinching the victory once again with a lead of 0.255 seconds over World Champion Jonas Müller, this time in the World Cup race held in Canada. With this win, Langenhan extended his impressive streak of victories to ten consecutive races in the current season.
As the countdown to the 2025 Luge World Championships begins, Lake Placid continues to serve as a potential predictor of the impressive competition that awaits, as Langenhan's performance demonstrates his dominance in the sport, especially given his victory in both the single-seater and sprint competitions during the World Cup opener in the very same location.
