Start in Lille: Tour kick-off 2025 presented
The 2025 Tour de France will begin with a stage around Lille, the organizer ASO has announced. The 185-kilometer stage will be followed by two more stages in the north.
On July 6, 2025, the route will go from Lauwin-Planque to Boulogne-sur-Mer (290 km), and one day later from Valenciennes to Dunkirk (172 km). The fourth stage will start in Amiens. The complete route of the Tour 2025 will be published in October 2024.
After three starts abroad, 2025 marks the return home. Last year, the Tour began in Copenhagen, with the start of the Grand Loop in the Spanish Basque Country on July 1, 2023. Next year, the Grand Départ will take place in Florence. In addition, the Tour will end in Nice instead of Paris for the first time due to the Olympic Games.
Cycling enthusiasts are excited for the return of the Tour de France in 2025, marking its commencement in Lille. This cycling event, known as the Tour de France, will include a stage around Lille as its initial leg.
