Filming of "Bridget Jones 4" - Stars like Harry Styles are annoyed
In London, the filming of the anticipated sequel "Bridget Jones 5" is currently underway. Renée Zellweger (55), along with returning stars such as Hugh Grant (63), have been spotted on the streets of the British capital in recent weeks. However, the production of the romantic comedy is not only eliciting joyful feelings. According to a report in The Sun, some prominent neighbors like musician Harry Styles (30) or actors and Oscar winners Rami Malek (43), Ricky Gervais, and Rowan Atkinson have been irritated by the "Bridget Jones" sequel filming.
"Neighborhoods where stars like Harry, Rami, Ricky, and Rowan live are receiving letters from the production asking them not to disturb the shoots," a source from "Bridget Jones 5" production team told The Sun anonymously. "It's as if they're being held hostage by Bridget, and that's driving everyone crazy," the source added.
The fourth "Bridget Jones" installment, titled "Mad About the Boy," is scheduled to premiere on US streaming service Peacock on Valentine's Day 2025. A German cinema release is planned. Zellweger reprises her role as the beloved character, now a widow and mother of two children.
Grant returns as Daniel Cleaver, the Schürzenjäger, after his film death in the last moments of the previous film "Bridget Jones' Baby" was reversed. Emma Thompson (65) also returns from the third installment. New to the cast are Chiwetel Ejiofor (47), known for "12 Years a Slave," and "The White Lotus" star Leo Woodall (27), who plays a younger man with whom Bridget Jones begins an affair.
