Sophia Thomalla (age 34) will be hosting a new show on RTL called "Splash! - The Celebrity Pool Quiz." The network revealed this during the Screenforce Days, stating that it will air on Wednesday, July 17 and 24, both at 8:15 p.m. A total of 40 celebrities will compete in teams of eight in a wet and entertaining knowledge contest where team spirit, swarm intelligence, and having no fear of getting wet are vital.

In case a celebrity doesn't know the answer to a question, they'll get shot into a pool with a massive ball. The team that manages to keep at least one member dry at the end has the chance to win a cash prize of 25,000 euros.

Bruce Darnell, Evelyn Burdecki, and Ralf Möller are some of the participants

While the specific participants have yet to be disclosed, the trailer for RTL's summer program hints at a few brave souls who will partake in the aquatic endeavor. They are Bruce Darnell (age 66), Evelyn Burdecki (age 35), and Ralf Möller (age 65).

In recent months, there has been an increased interest from broadcasters in creating water-based shows. In May, the "RTL Water Games" took place, and in January, celebrities dove into the water for the "RTL Diving Show." "Splash! - The Celebrity Pool Quiz" is inspired by the Dutch format "The Quiz with the Balls," which first premiered in the previous year.
