Sofia Vergara (51) and Joe Manganiello (47) announced their separation in July 2023. Their divorce is now final. Recently, on a chat show aptly named "The Talk," Vergara mentioned not being bothered by her tattoo, which she got for her former husband Manganiello.

Vergara's Love Tattoo for Ex-husband Joe Manganiello

Along with her 32-year-old son Maximiliano Gonzalez Vergara, Vergara joined the show. Max talked about his many body tattoos, much to the embarrassment of his mother. She then shared two of her tattooed symbols, meaningful to her. A small "R" represents her late brother Rafael Vergara, who was murdered in 1998. Her right wrist bears a "J," which was Joe Manganiello's initial.

"That was Joe Manganiello's initial, but now he's...gone," Vergara joked on "The Talk." Instead of getting it removed, she's found a more functional use - her current partner, Dr. Justin Saliman, has the same initials. Vergara terms her method as 'recycling' and receives massive applause for it from "The Talk" viewers.

Divorce Explanation: The Unfair Desire for Children

The "Neto's Mom" actress and Manganiello got married in 2015 and were together for seven years. Vergara filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences." It wasn't until this year that she disclosed the real cause to El País, claiming that her husband's wish for children was the culprit.

"My marriage fell apart because he was younger. He wanted children and I didn't want to be an old mother. I believe that'd be unfair to the baby - I genuinely think that," shared Vergara about her breakup.

After separation from Joe Manganiello, Sofia Vergara reuses her love tattoo by giving it a new meaning. On "The Talk," Vergara mentioned her tattoo featuring the initial "J," which she originally got for her ex-husband Manganiello. Now, her current partner, Dr. Justin Saliman, also has the same initials, making Vergara affectionately refer to her method as 'recycling'.

During their time together, Sophia Vergara and Joe Manganiello faced disagreements regarding having children, which eventually led to their separation. Vergara, who was already a mother to her 32-year-old son Maximiliano Gonzalez Vergara, felt it would be unfair to have a baby at an older age.

Despite the divorce being finalized, Sofia Vergara maintains a positive attitude towards her tattoo, her ex-husband, and her new relationships. In a humorous moment on "The Talk," Vergara joked about giving her tattoo a second life with her new partner.

Vergara also shared her appreciation for her son Max's body tattoos on the show, which brought some embarrassment mixed with amusement. Max, 32, openly discussed his numerous tattoos, adding to the light-hearted conversation on "The Talk" that day.
