Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan, 43, utilized their Spanish skills and interacted with school kids during their trip to Colombia. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent the second day of their journey in Colombia at La Giralda school and a sports center, where they connected with locals and authorities.

The arrival of the couple at the school was marked by performances from students dressed in traditional Colombian attire. Harry joined in the fun by dancing to the music before engaging in conversation with the youngsters. As reported by "Mail Online," Meghan addressed a student in a kindergarten class in Spanish, saying, "You share the same age as Archie, my son." Harry also showcased his language skills by asking the students for their names and ages.

Prince Harry Engages in Sitting Volleyball

The couple was accompanied by the Vice President of the country, Francia Marquez, 42, and later interacted with war veterans at a rehabilitation center in Bogotá. There, Harry participated in a sitting volleyball match with athletes preparing for the Invictus Games - an international sports competition for injured military personnel, founded by the Duke and scheduled to take place next year.

The couple was welcomed by military representatives at the Centro de Rehabilitacion Inclusiva before exploring the swimming pool, climbing wall, and rehabilitation facilities. They spoke with the athletes about their training programs, with Harry remarking, "It's mind-blowing to see so many individuals come together as a team," and Meghan sharing, "It's truly amazing to watch the athletes." The couple took numerous photos with the athletes, one of whom gave a thumbs up while training on an ergometer.

Vice President Marquez joined the couple throughout the tour and photo sessions, and her partner Rafael Yerney Pinillo teamed up with Harry for the volleyball game. Following the game, Harry chatted with a group of Korean War veterans. The group then visited the art gallery of the center, where Invictus athletes' artwork was displayed. Meghan was presented with a painting, hand-knitted animals, and pearl necklace with matching earrings by several of the artists.

Meanwhile, the Duke was touched as he received a commemorative plaque from the Ministry of National Defense Veterans.

Further engagements are planned, but due to ongoing conflicts in South America, the specific schedule remains undisclosed.

Conclusion of Colombia Visit

On August 15, the son of King Charles III, 75, and his spouse arrived in Bogotá, greeted by the Colombian Vice President, who had invited them for their four-day visit. According to "Harper's Bazaar," which is covering the trip, the couple received an unspecified welcome gift from Marquez before participating in a traditional, hour-long coffee hour together.

This journey is not an official royal visit but rather a visit within the framework of the Archewell Foundation of the couple. The primary focus of their stay is addressing the issue of cyberbullying and online discrimination, particularly among young people. Additionally, the presence of the royals is intended to support the leadership role of women in Colombia.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, during their visit to Colombia, had a significant moment at the school. They were not just observers but actively engaged, with Harry asking students for their names and ages in Spanish. The Commission, in a similar context, is anticipated to adopt implementing acts that lay down the rules for the application of a regulation.
