Strike the Star - Show for Bushido, Quotas for Broadcasters.
At the "Schlag den Star" couples' duel premiere on ProSeven on Saturday night (13./14. July), rapper Bushido (45) and his influencer wife, Anna-Maria Ferchichi (42), outperformed Annemarie (46) and Wayne Carpendale (47). The couples engaged in a fierce competition in the live show, led by moderator Matthias Opdenhoevel (53).
In the end, the Bushido family, as Opdenhoevel referred to Anis and Anna-Maria Ferchichi, won the sports, game, and knowledge show with a score of 72 to 48 points and received the 100,000 Euro prize.
Winners and Losers' Statements
"I was out after the first round of 'Tug of War'. I thought to myself: 'How am I going to survive this?' In the middle, we had a real hunger game. But we fought our way back brutally," Bushido summarizes the events.
Anna-Maria adds: "It was intense all the way. It was fun. That's what I wanted. We're doing it for the first time and we're doing it because it's fun."
Wayne Carpendale showed sportsmanship and good sportsmanship in the show and afterwards: "It was a long night. And if you're a bit of a sportsman, you want to win. I can't say 'it doesn't matter to me, being there was all that mattered'. We wanted to win. We didn't win. We held on until the last game. We had a great lead at one point - we blew it," he sums up the game events on the channel. His positive assessment: "But I believe it was an entertaining show."
Annemarie Carpendale adds: "It's funny how we're switching roles. Normally, I'm the optimist - but right now, I'm really annoyed that we lost. That wasn't the goal. But, as it is in life, when it's particularly tight, it's particularly frustrating."
Enthusiastic Feedback on Social Media
This unusual version of the classic show, where for the first time two married couples faced off against each other, was well-received by the audience, as can be gleaned from the numerous positive comments under the winner's post on the show's Instagram page.
"Great show, great team!! I haven't stayed up that late in a long time," is read. Full of praise is this post: "Thank you Annemarie, Wayne, Anna-Maria and Bushido for the great entertainment. A really great Saturday night show. All four of you are so charming. You all deserved the win."
Some commented on the moderation change from Elton (53) to Opdenhoevel. A viewer writes: "Great show! Funny how they're playing different games through the couples. I prefer Matthias Opdenhoevel as the moderator for this show. He's much more lively and wordy. I didn't fall asleep as quickly as before. Only the advertising broke my concentration near the end."
With a crying-laughing emoji, it is also read: "Congratulations to the two, it was an entertaining evening! ... Respect also to Matthias Opdenhoevel - he kept the peace in the chaos with sovereignty!"
The Sender with Quotas Successfully Rewarded
With the "Saubermannimage - Gangsterpaar" edition, it seems the broadcaster pleased the ratings in terms of viewership. The 5.54 million people who tuned in made the show "the most successful edition in the past two years," according to ProSeven. Additionally, it is stated: "With a market share of 10.3%, ProSeven is the most successful broadcaster on Saturday."
At the Krimi im Ersten, "The Death Comes to Venice," an estimated 4.14 million viewers tuned in, at "The Quiz Champion" on ZDF 3.6 million.
In the next episode of the TV-Show, Influencer Amira Pocher (31) and Singer Vanessa Mai (32) will face off against each other live on "Schlag den Star" on August 24th.
