Jana Wosnitza - She gets a guest role in "Unter uns"

Jana Wosnitza, who finished second in "Let's Dance" (30), is now joining RTL series "Under us". As RTL announced on Tuesday, the RTL sports journalist will be appearing as a guest star in the show.

This marks her acting debut. "Under us" is a renowned institution in German television," Wosnitza enthuses. "It's been on the air for 30 years." Particularly appealing to her, according to the press release, is the fact that "Under us" is both filmed and set in Cologne. "When you recognize familiar corners of the city in exterior scenes, that's really nice," the 30-year-old says.

Big Differences Between Moderating and Acting

Used to appearing on camera, she explains, "A camera in front of my face doesn't throw me off by itself." However, "Under us" presents a challenge for her: "Acting is a craft that requires learning. Both professions, moderating and acting, are not comparable. That's why I was also very excited and full of anticipation when I received the request." A major difference, she notes, is that she improvises during live sports broadcasts, while acting is the opposite. "There's a script, there are texts, every scene is meticulously planned, and you can often rehearse."

Will we see the moderator more often as an actress? "I'm not a trained actress and I'll leave that to those who can," she explains. "But who knows, maybe I'll enjoy it, but for now, I'll stick to moderating."

To be seen on TV on October 24

Fans of Wosnitza won't be able to wait much longer, as she plays a role that is almost herself - a sports journalist - and will interview the newcomers Luis Moll (Maximilian "Ace" Asbeck) and Nikolaus Lessky (Lenny Darber), who portray two aspiring football players trying to make it in the US. The men will be on TV as early as August 5, but Wosnitza fans will have to wait a little longer. The episode featuring her is predicted to air on October 24 - it will be available a week earlier on RTL+ as usual.

  1. Jana Wosnitza, who previously achieved success on "Let's Dance," will be appearing in a guest role on RTL's series "Under us," which is celebrated for its 30-year run on German television.
  2. Wosnitza expresses enthusiasm for the opportunity, as the show is filmed and set in her hometown of Cologne, allowing her to recognize familiar city landmarks in the exterior scenes.
