- Sequel still in the works

On September 27th, the crime comedy "Wolfs" will premiere on the streaming service Apple TV+, featuring superstars George Clooney (63) and Brad Pitt (60) in the lead roles. In the US, the film by "Spider-Man" director Jon Watts (43), in which Clooney and Pitt reunite on screen for the first time since the 2008 spy comedy "Burn After Reading", will also receive a small theatrical release. However, in Germany, it will go straight to streaming. Even before the film's release, Apple has officially announced a sequel to "Wolfs".

"Wolfs 2" is already in the works

"With the remarkable and captivating chemistry between George and Brad, and under Jon Watts' exceptional direction, 'Wolfs' combines all the great elements of comedy, action, and drama into an extremely entertaining film that sets the stage for the next step,' says Matt Dentler, Apple's film chief, in a statement obtained by Deadline, adding: "And we're excited to see how fans receive the film as we work with Jon on the sequel."

This means a sequel has been officially announced before the general public has even seen "Wolfs". This shows the immense confidence Apple has in the project. "Spider-Man" director Watts will also serve as writer, producer, and director for part two. A return of Clooney and Pitt is expected, unless one or both of their characters meet their demise in "Wolfs". A release date for "Wolfs 2" has not been set yet.

What "Wolfs" is about

In "Wolfs", George Clooney plays a professional problem solver, also known as a "fixer", who is called to the scene of a crime in New York to make all traces of the incident disappear for a wealthy client. However, another fixer (Pitt) unexpectedly shows up, and the two lone wolves have no choice but to work together.

Besides Clooney and Pitt, "Wolfs" features Amy Ryan (56, "Sugar") and Austin Abrams (27, "Euphoria").

Brad Pitt's on-screen chemistry with George Clooney in "Wolfs" is highly anticipated due to their last collaboration in "Burn After Reading" back in 2008. The success of "Wolfs" has led to the official announcement of a sequel, featuring the return of Pitt.
