Is it obvious that Shiloh Jolie-Pitt (18), daughter of Angelina Jolie (48) and Brad Pitt (60), is leaning towards her mom's side? As per the American magazine "People," their insider source claims that the teenager has made a symbolic move by choosing to change her last name. Reportedly, she's dropped the Pitt surname and adopted her mother's instead.

A source disclosed to "People": "She hired a lawyer independently and paid for it herself." The reason given for this action was allegation of Brad Pitt's alleged violent past. As a result, Shiloh now identifies as Shiloh Jolie and has chosen to let go of the double name Jolie-Pitt. Furthermore, it is stated that the application to change her name was filed on May 27 - the same day she turned 18 and attained the age of majority.

Did this happen before?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are parents to a total of six kids: Maddox (22), Pax (20), Zahara (19), and the twins Knox and Vivienne (15). Apparently, two of them have undergone a similar process as Shiloh: In the program of the new musical, "The Outsiders," Vivienne Jolie's name was mentioned without the Pitt surname as a production assistant, as stated by "People."

Her sister, Zahara, also discarded the Pitt surname: In a video from last November, she introduced herself as "Zahara Marley Jolie" when she was inducted into the AKA student fraternity at Spelman College. The relationship between Brad Pitt and his children has been tense for quite some time.

The former couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, separated over seven years ago and have since been going through custody battles. Jolie started the divorce proceedings in 2016. Despite being together since 2005, they didn't marry until 2014. Jolie left Pitt following allegations of excessive drunkenness during a flight. The two share three biological and three adopted children.
