Royal Monarch Decides to Stop Funding Brother's Protection Unit: King Charles III (ruling) and Prince Andrew

- Royal Monarch Charles III reportedly discontinued the protection squad assigned to his sibling.

After stepping down from his royal duties in 2022 due to public scrutiny, Prince Andrew no longer had publicly funded police protection. Instead, King Charles III started financing his private security service. However, reports indicate that Charles might disband Andrew's security team, as per news from "The Sun on Sunday" and "Mail Online." The team was informed that their services would no longer be required as of November.

This potential move could result in Andrew having to leave the royal lodge, according to an unnamed source from "Mail Online." Currently, Charles and Andrew are spending the weekend together at the Balmoral estate in Scotland.

Frogmore Cottage: Andrew's potential new home

The scrutiny surrounding Andrew, due to the numerous references in court documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, has been increasing. Earlier this year, it was reported that Andrew declined the offer to move from the Royal Lodge to Frogmore Cottage, a nearby property.

Since 2003, Andrew has held a 75-year lease for the Frogmore Cottage manor. An earlier report in January revealed that Andrew would have to cover the substantial security costs associated with staying in Windsor's 30-room Royal Lodge residence within the Great Park.

Andrew's name in Epstein documents

Andrew's name appeared over 70 times in legal documents concerning the Jeffrey Epstein abuse scandal, as per reports. Despite this, the Metropolitan Police announced that no new investigations had been launched. Andrew strongly denies the allegations and settled a civil lawsuit with Virginia Giuffre for a significant sum in 2022.

In May 2020, Andrew retired from his royal duties, and in January 2022, he had to relieve himself of his titles and patronages, with "His Royal Highness" no longer being an appropriate title for him.

The Royal Family's decision to potentially disband Prince Andrew's security team has raised concerns about his future residences. According to reports, Andrew may need to leave the Royal Lodge if he no longer has protection, and Frogmore Cottage, a manor he holds a 75-year lease for, has been mentioned as a possible new home.

Despite being linked to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal through numerous mentions in court documents, the Metropolitan Police announced that no new investigations had been launched against Prince Andrew, who vehemently denies the allegations and settled a civil lawsuit with Virginia Giuffre for a substantial sum in 2022.
