Richard Lugner ties the knot for the sixth instance.

Richard Lugner, the flashy Austrian construction tycoon, has gotten married for the sixth time. This time, he exchanged vows with Simone Reilander in Vienna. Lugner, who is known for his elaborate antics during the Vienna Opera Ball, had been candid with the press about his upcoming nuptials and was often seen giving interviews before the big day.

Simone, the bride, was also under the spotlight. Cameras trailed them as they got ready in their hotel room. There, she showed off her long white wedding dress and the name of the store where she purchased it.

The last marriage?

Lugner and Reilander appeared before the registrar around 2 p.m. Surrounded by a handful of friends and many photographers, they exchanged their "I dos" and traded rings. Reilander teared up as she got married for the first time. After the exchange of vows and the kiss, Lugner remarked, "We're now chained together."

The 74-year-old Lugner had stated before the wedding that he didn't like being alone and that this would be his last marriage. He has four children from his previous relationships, and some speculate that his new bride could be his oldest son's mother, who was born in 1963. "It'll be the last marriage," said Lugner.

Reilander is an assistant manager at a home improvement store. Since she needs to return to work on Tuesday, there won't be a honeymoon. However, Lugner has mentioned his intention to promote her to a high-ranking position within his company in the summer. Lugner manages a shopping center in Vienna, among other businesses.

The not-so-endearing pet name

Lugner affectionately called his new bride "Bienchen" in his interviews, just like he had done with his previous five wives, who received names like Mausi and Hasi. During one interview, Lugner admitted that Reilander wasn't particularly fond of this nickname. He claimed he would respect her wishes.

So now that he's "chained together" for the sixth time, did Lugner feel happy? "Happiness is an exaggeration," he answered during one of the many interviews. "For me, contentment is the norm. I've always been content with my life and don't look back with any regrets or negativity."
