National squad gets ready for matches - Revealing His UEFA Championship Visions: Nagelsmann on Practicing Before 15,000 Spectators

Julian Nagelsmann was excited about the excitement at the public training session in Jena. The display of German flags and fans made him feel the summer vibes for the upcoming European Championship held at home.

DFB's sports director, Rudi Völler, spoke to the 15,000 fans who were lucky enough to receive free tickets to witness the training session at Carl Zeiss Jena's stadium. The DFB players, along with tournament veteran Thomas Müller, eagerly joined in and began their training exercises.

Nagelsmann had kicked off the German EM mission a few hours earlier at Schloss Blankenhain. In a not-so-fancy suit, he sent a strong message about his focus on hard work leading up to the EM finals on July 14 at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.

"Looking forward to training," said the 36-year-old coach from Weimar. While chatting about his first night at the team accommodations in Blankenheim, he said, "I had a good night's sleep in a comfy bed." With a playful grin, Nagelsmann added, "And now they want me to share that I dreamed of the EM title."

The aim of winning is clear for all: "Of course, we want to be part of the teams that reach the end," Völler shared. DFB President Bernd Neuendorf echoed the sentiment, "We want to achieve that - with the crowd supporting us."

With a big tournament involving intense preparations, Nagelsmann will need to deal with a slow start to establish a solid team. Nephewers, the Bayern captain, will arrive the latest on Wednesday due to a stomach-intestinal infection. He remains the tournament's goalkeeper "if he's healthy." Reserve goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen may join them by Monday, while the remaining reinforcements, like Toni Kroos, Antonio Rüdiger, Niclas Füllkrug, and Nico Schlotterbeck, are expected to join the squad by Tuesday.

The team's well-being will be monitored closely, as physical issues have affected some prominent players, such as Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sané, Aleksandar Pavlovic, and David Raum. Nagelsmann's ultimate goal is to avoid any further injuries.

Surprisingly, team bonding goes beyond football. Players like Müller and Chris Führich participated in a Blankenhain Tafel action, offering food to those in need. On Wednesday, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is set to meet the DFB team. Thursday will involve learning from a special operations unit about the importance of teamwork and supporting each other.

"If you can create cohesion, you can achieve great things," Neuendorf declared. The recent wins against France and Holland have introduced an "amazing optimism" among the players and the public, Völler added.

"It's a great honor for Thuringia," stated Rudi Völler.

In the peaceful setting of the Weimar countryside in eastern Germany, Thuringia's Economy Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee (SPD) expressed his delight at having the national team as guests. According to Völler, the conditions for training couldn't be better.

In the upcoming weeks, Nagelsmann intends to transform the home Euro into a nationwide football project. Public training sessions are viewed as crucial for establishing a personal connection with fans. The fans can anticipate a fun and entertaining style of football, Nagelsmann explained. The goal is to captivate audiences until the last day of the 31-day tournament, with the Euro final scheduled for July 10th in Berlin.
