Football European Champion Dani Olmo is reported by Sky to have verbally agreed with FC Barcelona. His current club RB Leipzig and Barcelona's bosses are now in concrete negotiations.

After an exit option for a fixed transfer fee of 60 million euros expired, the Saxons continue to demand 60 million euros plus bonus payments for Olmo, Sky reported. Olmo, who was trained in Barcelona's youth academy, is the desired transfer of club president Joan Laporta, as well as sporting director Deco and German coach Hansi Flick.

Since 2020 at RB Leipzig

"He played a very strong Euro, so it was clear that other top clubs would knock on the door. Transfers are part of the business and a source of income. But just one of many. It's clear: we won't sell a player for less than his worth," RB's managing director Johann Plenge recently said in a Kicker interview.

Olmo did not join the club's trip to the USA, the 26-year-old is still on vacation after the Euro triumph. Olmo has been playing for RB since January 2020, his contract is valid until the end of June 2027.

Despite Olmo's successful stint at RB Leipzig, the club has maintained its stance, refusing to sell him for less than his market value, as expressed by managing director Johann Plenge. If a transfer to Barcelona materializes, Olmo will return to his formative years in Spain.
