Princess Kate (42) acknowledged the announcement and attended the men's final of the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament with her daughter, Princess Charlotte (8), and her sister, Pippa Matthews (40), on Sunday (14th of June). This is Kate's second public appearance since her cancer diagnosis in March.

However, her presence alone was not enough. The wife of the heir to the throne, Prince William (42), is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, which organizes the tournament. In this capacity, Kate will present the winner's trophy to Novak Djokovic (37) or Carlos Alcaraz (21) in the match.

According to "Mail Online," Princess Kate arrived less than an hour before the final began on Sunday afternoon. For her long-awaited appearance, she chose a lilac Etikleid in Midi length with frills in front and a comfortable skirt part. She carried a small beige handbag. Her long brown hair was styled in a loose side braid.

Little Charlotte wore a dark blue dress with white polka dots. The polka dot pattern continued in the bow of her hair. Pippa appeared in a summery white-pink flower dress in the Royal Box of Centre Courts. There were also acting stars like Benedict Cumberbatch (47) and Tom Cruise (62) present.

Chemotherapy after cancer diagnosis

Princess Kate is undergoing chemotherapy and made her first public appearance since the announcement of her cancer diagnosis in March at the "Trooping the Colour" Birthday Parade in honor of her father-in-law, King Charles III. (75), in London in June. However, she had not yet mingled with the crowd but only appeared in the carriage and on the balcony.

At the women's final of Wimbledon, which took place on the previous Saturday, the Princess of Wales had not participated. The Wimbledon chairman, Debbie Jevans (64), presented the trophy in her name to the Czech tennis player Barbora Krejcikova (28).

Meanwhile, Prince William had to travel to Berlin. He supports the English football national team in the EURO final.
