"Geo Quiz" with Sonja Zietlow - Program returns with a new concept
Sonja Zietlow (56) and science journalist Dirk Steffens (56) return with their shared RTL show. In July, "Die große Geo-Show - In 55 Questions about the World" will then be called "Wonders of Our Earth - The Big Geo Quiz," as the broadcaster has announced. The show, which RTL will air on July 20 and 27 at 8:15 p.m. (also on RTL+), will then have a new orientation.
Three celebrity duos will face off against each other in quiz and action rounds in the studio and "discover the wonders of our planet," according to the announcement. "They will quiz each other in spectacular categories about fascinating topics from the vast wide world - from extraordinary animal worlds to extreme places, natural wonders, and everything that makes our Earth unique," it continues.
The six categories run under names such as "Best Buddies," "Hard to Believe," or "Superheroes." The duos therefore do not know what exactly is hidden behind the names. To the quiz rounds, games, experiments, and puzzles are added. Each show can earn the celebrities up to €30,000 for a good cause.
These celebrities will face the "Geo Quiz"
The show is moderated by Sonja Zietlow, and Dirk Steffens, science expert, is there to help. The first show will see Ilka Bessin (52) and Sasha (52), Tom Beck (46) and Motsi Mabuse (43), and Michael "Mimi" Kraus (40) and Matthias Steiner (41) as celebrity pairs.
"Die große Geo-Show - In 55 Questions about the World" aired last year under a different principle: Each of the five stars dedicated themselves to a project in different countries on different continents and learned more about the world. They brought their knowledge about nature, animals, and people as an expert or expertine of a continent into the studio in quiz rounds. The winner or winner received a prize money for one of the special projects.
