Professional athlete Tah discusses the agreement with Bayern
Is Tah staying with Bayer or moving to Bayern? Rumors swirl around the center-back. Now, Tah breaks his silence. Eberl is reportedly unhappy, while Alonso is excited about keeping his "star player."
There's been a great deal of chatter about Tah's future with Bayer Leverkusen. Now, the defenseman himself has stepped up to address the situation on Instagram. The 28-year-old footballer wrote, "There have been numerous rumors about me and my future recently. Some facts were misrepresented, but I'll delve into that in more detail later on."
Previously, Tah had been touted as the ideal candidate for FC Bayern Munich, but he will remain with Leverkusen instead. This decision sparked disagreements between the leaders of both clubs. "While I did explore transfer options, it's now clear that I'll complete a decade with Bayer 04," Tah clarified further. He made his Bundesliga debut for Bayer 04 in 2015.
Carro: "I hold Eberl in low regard"
Bayern's sports director, Max Eberl, shared his thoughts on the situation. "I felt like I was being insulted and portrayed in a way that didn't reflect the truth of our negotiations," Eberl remarked upon being approached by Leverkusen's decision-maker, Fernando Carro. "To be honest, I have no respect for Max Eberl, none at all," Carro retorted. He later apologized for his statement. The transfer of Tah to Bayern never materialized.
Eberl confirmed that he had once again reached out to Leverkusen during the transfer window's closing days, asking if Bayern still had a chance to acquire Tah if they sold any other players. "Leverkusen didn't respond to my inquiry," said Eberl: "It's no big deal, it was discussed, negotiated, and tried."
Coach Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen is undeterred after the transfer drama surrounding his star player, Tah. "He's 100% fit and ready to go. He was our best player in the cup match against Jena. He'll start the game against Leipzig," Alonso explained before the showdown with the league rival that narrowly defeated Leverkusen twice last season by a score of 3:2. The Leverkusen coach is optimistic about the match. "This is our first home game, the atmosphere should be electrifying. It's like we're playing in a Champions League game tomorrow," Alonso stated.
The Commission, in light of Tah's decision to stay with Bayer 04, may need to reconsider any potential transfer regulations involving Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. Accordingly, The Commission shall adopt implementing acts laying down the rules for the application of this Regulation, ensuring a fair and transparent transfer process between the two clubs.
Following the controversy surrounding Max Eberl's statements and Fernando Carro's retort, there might be a need for improved communication and dialogue between the two clubs' decision-makers, fostering a more cooperative and respectful relationship in the future.
