Prince William and Princess Kate - Private donation to hurricane victims

Prince William (42) and wife Princess Kate (42) are reportedly making a private donation to the victims of Hurricane Beryl. According to The Independent newspaper and People magazine, at least nine people have been killed by the Atlantic storm in the Caribbean (as of July 4). The Royals are closely monitoring the developments of the hurricane, which is continuing to move through the region.

Charles speaks on behalf of the family

According to People, King Charles III. (75) is also making a charitable donation. A statement from the Monarch was shared on Instagram. "My family and I were deeply saddened to learn of the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl in the Caribbean," the message reads. "Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the friends and families of those who have lost their lives in such a tragic way."

Charles, who maintains close ties with the Caribbean as the head of the Commonwealth, added: "I have seen the resilience and solidarity shown by the people in the Caribbean in response to this destruction, which has been demanded all too often. I would also like to express my special thanks to the emergency services and volunteers who are supporting the rescue and recovery efforts." He concluded his statement with: "In these challenging times, our thoughts and prayers are with all those whose lives, livelihoods, and property have been so heavily damaged."
