First foreign trip after an accident - Princess Anne travels to Paris for Olympia
After suffering a head injury from an accident at the end of June, Princess Anne (73) is currently only attending select engagements. However, she could not miss the opening encounter for the Olympic Summer Games in Paris on Tuesday, as reported by "People." It is her first overseas trip since the incident involving one of her horses, which caused her to be hospitalized for several days.

The 142nd session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) began in Paris on July 23rd at the Palais des Congrès de Paris. The Summer Games were then opened on Friday (26. July). Princess Anne, Prince Albert of Monaco (66), and Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg (69) are among the 105 members of the committee and all three were present.
At the end of the meeting, a group photo was taken, in which the three Royals, including Princess Anne, are also visible. The daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II. (1926-2022) has a special connection to Olympia. She made history in 1976 as the first member of the British Royal Family to ride for the British team at the Olympics in Montreal.
Princess Anne on the Road to Recovery
Princess Anne seems to be on the road to recovery after reportedly falling off a horse. Since mid-July, the 73-year-old has been attending engagements again. British media reports suggest she has recently canceled some public appearances from her calendar. She was discharged from Southmead Hospital in Bristol on June 28th. She had been there for five days due to a light head injury and whiplash. After her release, she reportedly returned to her estate, Gatcombe Park, in Minchinhampton.
