Palace confirmed - Prince William travels to the England game again
Prince William (42) will not miss the EURO 2024 quarter-final match of the Three Lions at Duesseldorf on Saturday (6th July). According to "The Daily Telegraph", the Palace of William has now confirmed his travel to Germany. Previously, it was reported in the local media, such as the "Rheinische Post". It is still not clear if he will be accompanied, for example, by his son Prince George (10). This is not the first EURO visit for William in this tournament.
Will it be another emotional rollercoaster?
During England's group stage match against Denmark in Frankfurt, William was in the stadium and encountered other royals: The Danish King Frederik X. (56) and his daughter Princess Josephine (13) also watched the game and supported their country. William, who is the President of the English Football Association FA, showed his enthusiasm for football during the 1:1 draw and excitedly cheered from his seat with emotional gestures, as pictures of his visit show.
Upon England's entry into the quarter-finals, Prince William contacted X and described the 2:1 win against Slovakia as a "rollercoaster of emotions". The Prince of Wales added: "Let's go, England. Quarter-finals, here we come."
England will face Switzerland in the quarter-finals. Kick-off is at 18:00 hours, ZDF will broadcast the game.
