England host social gathering. - Prince George's godfather plans to throw an extravagant celebration for the royal wedding.

Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster and one of Britain's wealthiest individuals, is getting married to his fiancée Olivia Henson this Friday. Expecting around 400 guests at the event, Chester Cathedral in northwest England will host the ceremony. Notable attendees include members of the royal family, such as Prince William.

As the town prepares for an influx of visitors, the police advise them to avoid the area. More than 100,000 flower arrangements have been put up throughout the streets, courtesy of Grosvenor and Henson. The couple is also treating the bystanders with a massive ice cream in the city center, according to local media.

The reception will be held at Eaton Hall, a stately home in Cheshire that has belonged to the Grosvenor family since the 15th century. It's an impressive estate, with a French château-themed building and over 500 hectares of gardens. This may surpass any "Bridgerton" parties with its grandeur.

Prince Harry won't be in attendance, but Prince William is. To avoid any possible conflict with his brother, he has declined the invitation. However, reports suggest that Harry and Meghan did not receive an invitation to this year's most anticipated event.

Prince William might act as an "usher" during the ceremony, welcoming guests, and seating them. It's believed that he'd be accompanied by Prince George, who is Hugh Grosvenor's godson. Kate Middleton, William's wife, is unlikely to attend due to her ongoing cancer treatment. The King Charles and Camilla, an unlikely but notable absence.

Grosvenor's connection to the monarch dates back to his childhood, as Charles is his godfather. Grosvenor's ascension to fortune came in 2016, when his father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, passed away from a heart attack, making him an instant billionaire landowner. Estimates place the Grosvenor fortune at a staggering £10 billion.

Their relationship dates back only two years, having met through mutual friends in London and recently becoming engaged. Henson, daughter of a stockbroker, attended the same private school as Princess Eugenie and has aristocratic lineage. Therefore, this wedding between the two is the closest thing to a Royal Wedding since the events of William and Kate or Harry and Meghan.
