Previous aide files lawsuit against Kanye West

Kanye West, a renowned rapper and ex-husband of Kim Kardashian, has been embroiled in another legal confrontation. This time, a previous personal assistant has taken him to court, alleging he sent her offensive text messages and videos containing sexual content.

As reported by different US media outlets, West is being sued by his former assistant. She claims that he subjected her to sexual harassment, breached their contract, created a hostile work environment, and even wrongfully terminated her. Page Six reveals some essential court documents that substantiate these claims.

Sharon Oyakhilome, West's ex-assistant, started working with him in July 2021 when he was launching his Yeezy line. A well-known influencer, she had also collaborated with West on some "Donda" songs. The fascinating offer: a million dollars for the job, along with the condition that she be accessible to West at any time of the day, every day. Finally, she accepted the job.

But then West allegedly asked her to alter her behavior and shut down her account on OnlyFans in 2022. Then, he reportedly pledged to raise her salary from a million to two million a year to make up for the lost money. However, he didn't follow through on this agreement, and she never received the extra pay.

A barrage of vulgar messages and sexual content

Soon after the promotion, West started sending Oyakhilome explicit text messages. These messages included indecent details of sexual acts, misogynistic language, photos, and videos of himself engaging in sexual acts with other women. She also alleges that West showed her personal, intimate photos of "current and former" Yeezy employees.

Further, she asserts that he masturbated while talking to her on the phone, inquired about another friend's penis size, compelled her to remove her sweater at the office because she was undressing in front of her co-workers, and locked himself in a room with her, masturbating next to her. West's anger got the better of him when she turned down his requests to "go out or have sex."

In September 2022, Oyakhilome was appointed CEO of some of West's companies, expecting an annual salary of four million. However, he fired her just a month later, leaving her without the promised three million-dollar settlement. Now, in her lawsuit, she seeks compensation for the breach of contract and a hostile work environment.

Allegations of racism

This isn't the only legal challenge that West has faced. A few weeks prior to this, a former security guard at West's Christian school, Donda Academy, blamed West for race-based discrimination. This ex-employee stated in her claim that West "shouted at and ridiculed black employees" and "frequently voiced disparaging opinions about prominent black leadership figures."
