EM 2024 - Potatoes on the 1: Wirtz also becomes a Ballermann star
Just before the EURO quarter-final against Spain, National player Florian Wirtz, who is 21 years old, gets his own Ballermann hit. Party singer Julian Sommer ("Dicht im Flieger") has released the song "Normal Potatoes on the #1" - a tribute to a legendary quote from the midfielder.
Wirtz had to rank potato varieties according to his personal preference in a DFB video on TikTok months ago. Wirtz decided after a short consideration: "Normal potatoes...I would even say on the 1." The video became a viral hit, and singer Julian Benz announced for this Friday another party song for this.

"Florian Wirtz is the future of the German national team! A young and extremely talented player, who has now even become a Social Media meme through TikTok. I hope he understands the song as a joke," Sommer told the DPA.
At almost the same time, Ballermann colleague Julian Benz ("King of Malle") released a similar potato song and used the original clips of Wirtz's video.
Fullkrug-Song "amusing and fun"
National team colleague Niclas Fullkrug already has his own party hit. In "Fullkrug" by Aditotoro and Paulomuc, it says: "Fullkrug with beer, we will be king of Europe." The striker from Borussia Dortmund finds the song "amusing and fun". It makes him "a little proud".
